Midnight Bargains: The Night Hags' Spoils

The three night hags fell where their weaving of dreams and bargains had grown thickest: a ruined manor whose halls still smell of rot and perfume. In the master bedchamber you find two perfect heartstones and one cracked remainder, each warm with stolen nights; two black soul bags, one still pulsing with a trapped, spiteful presence; and the small riches and tools a coven keeps for trade with darker patrons. Scattered among the pillows and stitched pockets are three black sapphires and healing potions, while a ledger of bargains offers names and clues that could unmake or extend the hag network. A shadowy cloak, bartered and sewn from their victims' memories, might aid the party if they are willing to wear a piece of nightmare. Taken together the treasure is as dangerous as it is valuable: some of it can be sold, some used, and some must be handled with care or ritual to avoid unwanted consequences.
