The Golden Maw of Nightfall Keep

Deep within Nightfall Keep the adventurers toppled a terrifying council of power: an Ancient Golden Dragon that had nested in the lich's vaulted treasury, a paranoid Beholder that watched the dragon's hoard from shadowed alcoves, and the Lich Lord who had brokered pacts with planar fiends—backed by hosts of hobgoblin conscripts and infernal-blooded cambions. The battlefield is a ruin of melted gilding, torn banners, smoking braziers, and arcane residue. Much of the dragon's treasure was fused to skeletal remains and enchanted wards; the lich's vault contained ritual paraphernalia, phylacteries, and vials of soul-iron essence; the beholder's lair held strange anti-magic trinkets and petrified eyestalks. Hobgoblins had standard military booty—arms, mail, and coin—and the cambions carried infernal contracts, brimstone-forged fetishes, and stolen relics from other planes. Below the smoke, the party finds a mix of mundane coin, magical arms and armor, precious stones and unique artifacts suitable for a level 20 party: high-powered legendary items, potent crafting materials for epic forging, planar components, and curios that speak to the combined provenance of dragon, undead, aberration, and infernal influences.
