Soot-Buried Reliquary

Beneath a low, collapsed corridor of a forgotten dungeon the party finds a small shrine chamber choked with soot and the sour tang of old oil. No bodies or obvious guardians remain — just the evidence of previous visitors who cleared out most valuables and left behind a few overlooked pieces. Tucked under a toppled statue and inside a rusted iron reliquary are coins, two healing potions, a faintly rune-etched shortsword, a curled spell scroll, a few semi-precious stones, and some mundane but useful alchemical materials. The items are modest and practical, appropriate for a party of third level exploring a minor stronghold or cult outpost.
