The Tale of This Treasure
The party slipped into a low-slung cavern behind a broken cove wall where a small band of smugglers and petty pirates used to stash recent hauls. There were no defenders present — only the detritus of a hurried abandonment: crates half-buried in sand, a sodden chest with a rusted hasp, and a pegboard of weapons left to dry. The finds are modest but useful to a fresh-faced crew: coin and small trade goods, a few useful tools for future sea journeys, and one sentimental trinket that might hint at a greater story (a map fragment pointing to a nearby wreck). None of the arms or equipment are magical; they're practical, weathered, and well-suited to low-level adventurers or to fence to local contacts on a pirate-friendly quay.
