The Tale of This Treasure
Beneath the collapsed dais of the dungeon's sacrificial hall the party uncovered the remains of a grim masquerade. Maurezhi's false court—evidence of a cambion or fiend posing as a city noble—had been reduced to a scattering of fine clothes and a single infernal signet, while the Bonedust Golem ground dozens of skeletons into powdery bone shards that still hummed with necromantic trace. Two ghast nobles kept their trinkets even in death; lesser ghasts and skeletons left behind salvageable weapons, broken shields and ritual trophies. The air still tasted faintly of rot and astringent ichor: some of the reagents recovered are dangerous in untrained hands, but valuable to apothecaries and necromancers. The finds are a mix of mundane salvage, precious baubles that mark the ghast nobles' station, and a single minor enchantment that likely belonged to the Maurezhi's disguise.
