The Tale of This Treasure
The party finds the aftermath of three gray oozes that had been feeding on the detritus of a forgotten corridor in the dungeon. Where the oozes pooled, corroded metal and half‑melted trinkets clot the floor; pale gelatinous film and acidic streaks mark where treasures were eaten and dissolved. Much of what remains is pitted, warped, or fused into the ooze’s residue — salvageable with care, useful to a tinkerer or alchemist, and telling of a once-ransacked scavenger’s stash. Nothing here is masterwork or magically intact, but there are a few small gems, a battered weapon, and odd materials that could pay for a night’s lodging or a smith’s repair at low cost.
