Spoils of the Broken Pike

The field smells of iron and crushed grass. The bandit force—two ragged captains and their five cutthroats—tried to hold the crossroads but fell under the party's steel and spellcraft. Scattered among the bodies and behind a toppled wagon you find practical battlefield spoils: coin and simple jewellery stripped from fallen merchants, a captain's battered but serviceable kit (including a captain's badge and a crudely mended chain shirt), a few useful tools and crafting scraps taken for resale, and one potion likely hoarded for a desperate moment. Nothing gleams with high sorcery, but a small carved gem and a signed note point to a local fence who might pay well for the lot.
