Webbed Vault of the Shadow Matron

Beneath collapsed stone arches and spiderwebbed frescoes in the ancient ruins' lower sanctum, the party fought three drow sentinels and their high priest. The drow were armed and prepared for ritual defense — poisoned blades, ritual trappings and a reliquary devoted to a spider goddess. After clearing the chamber and prying open the priest's carved obsidian altar, the adventurers recover mundane coin, ritual implements, a few gemstones and items suitable for low-level parties: a single priestly spell-scroll salvaged from a charred hymnal, crude but effective poisoned blades, the priest's holy symbol and a handful of small tradeable curios that hint at the site's former splendor.
