Bones of the Watchful Draugr

Beyond a collapsed stair the party found a half-buried sepulcher: tumbled flagstones, long-since doused funeral pyres, and a single carved sarcophagus clawed open from within. Seven skeletons—former tomb-guards—lay in brittle heaps around an iron-bound bier. At the center, a single draugr clutched a runed greataxe and wore a tarnished amulet depicting a closed eye; when the draugr fell its bones collapsed into a mound of old armor fittings, bone, and relics. The scene yields both mundane salvage from the skeletal guards (rusted weapons, bone fragments, coinage scavenged from previous tomb-robbers) and the draugr's more personal gear: a modest magical weapon and an amulet tied to the guardian's restless purpose. Much of the loot is suitable for craftsmen or a necromancer's reagent chest; a few pieces are ready to sell or to keep for their unusual properties.
