Embers of Cyranthrax — The Adult Red's Hoard

The party stood in the black-ruined heart of Cyranthrax's lair after the red wyrm's final, roaring collapse. Heat still wavered off the piled coins and smoked tapestries; the dragon had arranged its treasures by heat and glare, cloaking its most treasured pieces with a shell of cooled magma and shaped obsidian. Many items are singed or partially fused together — evidence of the dragon's pride in rearranging and marking its possessions. Among the usual coin and gems are trophies of the dragon itself (scales, teeth), several crafted objects warped by fire into unique forms, and a handful of potent items suffused with elemental flame. The party finds a mixture of mundane wealth suitable for immediate selling, rare crafting materials prized by smiths and artificers, and several very powerful artifacts and wondrous items that will need care to unbind or properly appraise.
