White-Root Bog: Chicchic Hunt & Wraith Spoils

After a brutal slog through the sodden tangle of white-root fungus and bleached tree roots, the party cleared a hunting ground where nine chicchics and three screaming brood were dragged down by a giant bog spider and a lingering bog wraith while a hissborn elite fought to protect its clutch. The hissborn's nest was woven through a clump of pale, fleshy white-roots; under the roots and in the spider's lair you find both practical materials and odd reagents prized by swamp herbalists and necromantic collectors. Most of what can be sold or used is crude and natural — fangs, scales, webbing and tubers — plus a few kept tokens from previous victims. Nothing here feels like high enchantment, but the white-root reagents and wraith remnant could be valuable to the right buyer.
