Ambushed Bandit Patrol — Battlefield Spoils

The three bandits fell where they stood: a narrow stretch of road turned ugly after their ambush. Nearby the blood has soaked into churned earth and the scattered goods of quick-grab thieves lie half-buried in mud. One bandit appears to have been the lookout — his quiver and map are here; another kept the group's coin and a sentimental locket; the third wore patched leather and favored a scimitar. The spoils are the sort a low-level outlaw band would carry: common coin, rough weapons, a couple of small valuables taken from travelers, and a worn map that hints at a nearby cache.
