The Tale of This Treasure
After the dust settled on the ridge where the desert raiders made their ambush, the battlefield was a mix of broken weapons, scattered coin pouches and a few singed cloths where the sorcerers' flames met armor. The raiders were a rough band — light weapons, patchwork leather, strings of trade beads and caravan goods stripped from passing caravans. The two raiders who practiced mad little rituals left behind a couple of arcane trinkets (component pouches and a pair of 1st-level spell scrolls) — one charred circle and spilled vials among them. What remains is practical salvage: arms and armor worth mending or selling, a modest coin hoard, a healing potion, a few minor jewels and a crudely drawn map pointing to a nearby caravan trail (and, possibly, a new lead).
