Scavengers of the Salted Wharf

The party picks through the wreckage of an old, wind-bleached fisher village whose wooden piers have slumped into the tide. Wolves of the pack—six scavenging hyenas—had been rooting through the torn stalls and collapsed cottages, dragging out salvaged goods and trophies. Between gnawed crates, seaworn nets and overturned barrels you find a mixture of practical coastal supplies, a few sentimental tokens from the village's last days, and one strangely useful weapon that the largest hyena had appropriated as a plaything. Nothing here is fancifully armoured or lavish (the hyenas prefer scraps); instead you recover small, sea-stained valuables and workable crafting materials that reflect a life earning a living from wind, tide and fish. A local map fragment hints at a hidden cove where an old family kept a tide-lashed chest.
