The goblins had made a cramped, foul-smelling burrow in a limestone cave, strewn with stolen trinkets, splintered crates and a single hobgoblin who tried to keep order. After a messy fight among tangled bedding and crude traps, the party picks through the detritus: scraps of armor and weapons scavenged from caravans, a few meager coins, a stolen pouch of trade goods, and a battered map that hints at where the bandits collected their spoils. Nothing here is pristine — it's the spoils of opportunistic raiding, not long-term hoarding — but a level 1 party can still walk away with a handful of useful items and a clue to future mischief.
