Vault of the Grey Sentinels

Beyond a dented iron door down in the arcane vault, the party fought a trio of guardians: two giant animated armors that clanged and re-formed around ancient rune-work, a lone grell that nested in the chandelier and lashed with psychic shock, and a scurrying band of rats that had nested in the alcoves. Once the constructs were shattered and the grell's mind-tinged hunger driven off, the chamber revealed a small, carefully curated magical treasury — not a princely hoard of raw coin, but an assemblage of enchantment components, a few crafted items designed to outfit or upgrade a spellcrafting armorer, and a scattering of jewels and utility magic useful to a 5th-level party. Some pieces bear the grey, ghostlike sheen of the grell's residue; others smell faintly of oil and forge-smoke from the animated armors' construction.
