The Tale of This Treasure
After driving the pack off a narrow forest trail, the party finds the two worgs and a lone wolf brought down in a chaotic tumble among thorn and bracken. The beasts show signs of recent illness and scavenging, and the undergrowth around them hides scraps of gear and trade goods likely shaken loose from past victims. The party recovers pelts and fangs from the larger worgs, a softer wolf pelt, and useful salvage from a torn harness. Tucked beneath a worg's flank is a leather satchel with mixed coins and a plain agate — possibly taken from a passing traveler — and a bottle of common healing potion likely carried by one of the predators' more daring victims. Among the trophies the party takes a string of bone beads and fashion a simple charm from a worg tooth; the charm carries the hunters' superstitious blessing and may help the party stay alert against other beasts on the trail.
