Cache beneath the North Watch of Kestrel Hold

Beneath the north watchtower of the abandoned mountain keep you find a small ledger of the guard rotation, a weathered banner, and a barred chest hidden under a false flagstone. Inside are durable supplies and items recovered from raids and patrols: healing potions left for wounded sentries, a Bag of Holding used to ferry spoils down the mountain, a section of adamantine-reinforced chain salvaged from elite armor, and several spell scrolls once kept for emergency use. Also present are personal effects and trade goods meant for sale: sapphires, a silver reliquary, and the quartermaster's map noting a sealed cellar beyond the west tower. The cache reads like the final, hurried stockpile of a garrison that intended to return. The party can sell the nonmagical goods, use or identify the magic items, and follow the map to a deeper cache if they choose.
