Grotto of Glass and Scales

After forcing a way through the dripping corridors of a low cavern, the party encountered a basilisk nested among the bones of past prey and a small band of giant lizards kept as hunting beasts by a troglodyte hunting party. The basilisk dealt the greatest danger and left behind a petrified victim that now serves as both a grim trophy and a valuable curiosity. The troglodytes carried crude charms, coin, and trade gemstones they had scavenged, while the lizards bore useful hides and one hidden, well-made shortsword from a previous hunter. The troglodyte leader's cloak and a pair of potions were found in the central nesting hollow. The party gathered healing supplies, crafting materials, and a few pieces of magic and rare reagents to fund further expeditions or upgrades before they press deeper into the dungeon.
