The Tale of This Treasure

The party cleared a sunless chamber where three husks — scarecrows animated with the hunger of rot — stood sentinel around a stone plinth. Beneath decades of packed straw and a braided wreath of festival ribbons, they found the shrine that had bound a harvest god for a century. The husks bore little more than torn burlap and rusted iron, but the shrine's sealing rites left behind seeds of power, small reliquaries, and a handful of both mundane and magical remnants of a once-kinder cult. The haul mixes practical crafting materials and modest coin with a few minor magical items and relics that hint at the god's slow, patient influence.
