Webbed Ambush at the Stalactite Gate

The party surprised (and were counter-ambushed by) a drow raiding party that had been lying in wait along a narrow, fungal choked tunnel beneath the caverns. Six elite warriors, arrayed in black-leather and quick to fire hand crossbows, fell around the carved stone of a forgotten spider-shrine. The true prize was the drow priestess of Lolth, slain where she clung to a woven altar of black silk and bone. The bodies and altar produced a mixture of mundane gear, ritual items, spider-themed valuables, and a single potent artifact that the priestess wore. Most gear is built for stealth and speed (light armor, short blades, hand crossbows); the priestess' belongings show ecclesiastical use and spider-magic — ritual silk, ritual components, scrolls and a cloak threaded with uncanny webbing. Some items are mundane and easily fenced; others are magical or sacred and worth keeping for research or as trophies.
