The Ruined Courtyard Skirmish

After chasing the disoriented hippogriff out of the vine-choked courtyard, the party cleared a small phalanx of animated weapons and armor that had risen from neglected pedestals. A band of opportunistic bandits and two scavenging hyenas had been picking over toppled altars when the fight began; the bandits scattered, leaving behind hastily abandoned gear and a coin purse. In the center of the courtyard a shallow alcove revealed a shallow cache of carved tokens and bits of gemstone—likely part of the ruin's offerings. The items recovered are a mix of mundane battlefield spoils, a few modest trade goods, and a couple of relic fragments that hint the ruin once had modest ritual importance.
