Forgotten Waystation Cache

While following a faint cart track at the edge of a farmers' road, the party finds the remains of a hastily abandoned waystation: a cold fire ring, an overturned pack, and a low wooden stool. There are no signs of struggle or recent predators — just a few useful, very mundane items left behind by a traveling peddler who likely left in a hurry. Everything is non-magical and appropriate for a beginning band of commoners; nothing armored or jeweled beyond low-value trinkets and practical supplies.
