The Tale of This Treasure
After forcing a breach in the snow-scoured ramparts of the mountain keep, the party picked through a chaotic mix of frontier garrison stores and scavenged spoil carried by raiders. Gnolls and gobelins (goblin-like scavengers) had stripped what they could — crude coin purses, pelts and bone trophies — while a lone hill giant, driven off by the keep's defenders, left behind the larger, more curious finds: a chunk of worked stone with veins of quartz, a battered spear that hums faintly when held, and a few heavy iron ingots pried from the armory store. What remains is a blend of practical materials useful to a smith or alchemist, modest valuables the party can sell, and one uncommon wonder likely to interest a weaponsmith or collector.
