Ember Nest of the Six

Deep in the dungeon beneath a collapsed furnace chamber you fought six salamanders clustered around a shallow magma pool. Between their nests of charred bone and smashed pottery you found what they had scavenged: a small purse of coins, a high-value fire opal that had likely been an offering, several smaller gems hidden in a cracked brazier, a potion that still smelled faintly of smoke, and a protected spell scroll slipped into a metal tube. A few large scales flaked free from the salamanders' hides and will interest tanners or alchemists who work with fire-resistant materials. The loot mixes immediate coin for wages, saleable gemstones for larger purchases, and a couple of consumable magical items that can turn the next fight in your favor.
