The party arrives at a recently abandoned skirmish line: churned earth, broken pikes, and scattered standards tell of a short, brutal fight between local levies and raiders. No large monsters answered the clash — only men and light-armed mercenaries — so the spoils are what foot soldiers would carry: coins, battered weapons, crude gear, and a few small valuables stripped from fallen men.
