After a thorough search of the emptied, dust-sweet rooms of the mansion — beneath a false panel behind a portrait in the drawing room, in the locked safe behind the librarian's false book, and folded into the hems of a long-dead heiress's wardrobe — the party gathers the tangible remnants of a well-to-do household. Nothing here screams of beastly spoils or battlefield plunder; these are heirlooms, household coin, useful workshop supplies, and a few items kept for comfort or prestige. A modest magical cloak, a packet of valuable stones and paperwork that could change ownership of half the neighborhood make this haul worth more than the furniture. A small iron key hints at a cellar door the party didn't have time to open.
