Beneath stacked shelves and collapsed murals of the long-dead city, the party picked through the Archivist's Vault: a sealed study within the ancient ruins where record-keepers once catalogued the kingdom's knowledge. No guardians stirred — the traps had long since rusted, leaving only dust, brittle parchment and objects that survived centuries of damp and neglect. The haul is equal parts scholarly curiosity and practical wealth: coin and gems tucked into clay jars, alchemical residues preserved in sealed vials, a fractured wardstone still humming faintly with protective magic, and cultural relics that will fetch a price with the right antiquarian — or point the party toward deeper mysteries. None of the finds are implausible for empty ruins: no full suits of armor propped in the shelves, no beast-carved trophies, just items an archivist, artisan or cultist might have kept in a private vault.
