Coven of Night: Stolen Dreams and Stitched Souls

After collapsing the warped circle where three night hags fed on a village's children, the party finds the coven's inner sanctum: a low, windowless chamber hung with dream-cloths and jars of writhing soot. The hags fled between the planes to avoid capture, but their hoard remains. Among the mundane coin and pilfered jewels the party uncovers the hags' most prized possessions: a lusterless Heartstone and a still-warm Soul Bag whose trapped whispering soul rattles the air. Scattered around the chamber are ritual paraphernalia and broken sleep-lures: threads that once amplified nightmares, several ritual components plucked from ruined apothecaries, and a potion to mend hurts. A sealed bargain, signed in a malformed hand, suggests the coven trafficked souls and favors with darker powers. The haul will fetch coin from merchants and collectors, but some pieces are clearly more dangerous than valuable: the Heartstone in particular carries a terrible utility and will draw attention if sold or used. The party must decide whether to keep the cursed tools as leverage, turn them over to a sage or church, or bury them where no dreaming mortal can find them.
