Beneath a blasted mesa of salt-and-sand the party found the lair of an ancient blue dragon — a cavern rimed with glassed rock and veins of static that still dance across the walls. Much of the vault collapsed in the battle; the party was forced to grab what they could from under fallen timbers, collapsing shelves of coin, and the dragon's personal repositories of art and storm-forged gear. The most valuable pieces are saturated with lightning-tinged magic: a single dragon scale hums like a live wire, a spear etched with storm runes still crackles faintly, and several gems catch light like trapped thunderheads. The party likely plundered only a portion of what an ancient wyrm would hoard, but the finds are rich, distinctive of a blue dragon's taste for jewelry, brasswork, and lightning-infused trinkets.
