While investigating an overgrown, crumbling observatory at the edge of a moonglow fen, the party found a hidden cellar beneath a toppled astrolabe. There were no guardians—only dust, cooling metal, and things left by hands that intended to return. The cache looks like the last kit of an itinerant scholar who dealt in planar curiosities and small magics: a useful pouch of coins, a few gems and craft materials attractive to artificers or enchanters, a single uncommon magical weapon that would suit a dexterous archer, a healing potion, and a fragment of a star-chart hinting at a deeper mystery. The haul is appropriate for a mid-level (around 6th-level) party — enough wealth to fund a few purchases and a couple of magic items that will change how the group approaches their next challenges.
