Imperial Reward: Honors of the Fifth Legion

The party receives their reward from the provincial treasury for a job done well on behalf of the Empire. Couriers present a heavy pouch of coin, three court-cut gemstones held in a small velvet case, and a pair of utilitarian but useful items: a Bag of Holding to ease travel and a +1 short sword taken from the legion's armory as a mark of trust. Two potions, one common and one greater, are tucked into an ornate box stamped with the imperial seal. Additionally the governor grants each adventurer an Imperial Service Medal and a Letter of Imperial Commendation. Together these items represent both immediate wealth and lasting favor with the imperial administration, useful for purchasing gear, securing travel and lodging, or leveraging introductions to officials and merchants aligned with the Empire.
