The Tale of This Treasure
The purple worm tore through the makeshift encampment of a regional levy, swallowing spearmen and banners alike before your party felled the beast. In the aftermath you sift the torn earth and the worm's disgorged remains for anything salvageable. Between the worm's chitinous innards and the ruined camp you recover usable crafting materials, a handful of gemstones and personal effects from the fallen, a few alchemical oddities from the creature's gut, and one trinket that hums faintly with protective magic — all the typical spoils left where war met nature's hunger.
