Dust & Candles: The Beginner's Cache

The party picks their way through a low, damp chamber in a forgotten dungeon. No corpses or armor racks — this room was used for storage by servants and miners rather than warriors. Behind a loose flagstone they find a small, swallowed chest containing pocket-change and a few useful items left behind by those who once worked here: a handful of coins, a few small tradeable gems, a common healer's potion someone tucked away for emergencies, a bundle of climbing gear and a half-used spool of rope, and scraps of metal and charcoal useful to a budding crafter. Nothing ornate or magical, but enough to outfit a fledgling party and maybe pay for a night's lodging and a decent meal while they plan their next move.
