The Tale of This Treasure

After clearing the twisting warrens and collapsing the trap-lined passages, the party gathers what remains in the kobolds' hoard. Most of the wealth is small and practical: coins shoved into pockets, sacks of sling stones, and bone daggers kept for ambushes. A few items show the kobolds' worship and scavenging: a garnet taken from a low shrine and a polished agate prized by the children. A single potion of healing was found in the shaman's kit, its seal still mostly intact. Tucked beneath a pile of bedding and broken spears is a short sling woven from dragonling shed scales and reinforced leather. It radiates a little heat and was clearly treasured by the tribe. Together the finds provide enough coin and supplies to repair gear and pay for a night's stay in a nearby village, while the magical sling and potion offer an immediate boon to the party as they push deeper into the dungeon.
