The Tale of This Treasure
The adult white dragon's lair is a cathedral of rime and bone. After its death the party pried open frost-encased chests, cracked away layers of breath-glaze, and pried scales loose from where the beast had clung to its pile of stolen trinkets. The hoard is what a predator of the northern wastes would prize: heavy coinage from coastal mints, sunless jewels that glow like trapped embers, carved ivory taken from wrecked ships, and a handful of true magic — a frost‑cold blade and the white-scaled mail fashioned for a favored champion. Scattered among the glitter are a few dangerous curios the dragon kept for reasons only it understood (a bead-less necklace, a key that will not melt). Some items (dragon scale mail, Frost Brand, necklace beads) are rare and require attunement; the party will have to decide which to keep, which to sell, and which to hide before rulers or rival treasure‑hunters arrive.
