Spoils of the Low Cave Ambush

After overcoming the three goblins who swarmed the trail in the low cave, the party searches the shallow lair and its crude lean-to. The goblins kept what little they prized close at hand: a pot of coins scavenged from travelers, a hastily repaired masterwork dagger stolen from some unlucky merchant, and bits of jewelry broken into tradeable chips. A single healing potion and a small flask of alchemical fire reveal the goblins made room for practical tools among their spoils. Under a scrap of tattered hide the largest goblin hid a small bone talisman, worn smooth by handling and radiating a faint, simple magic. The party can use most items as-is, sell the gems and potion for coin, or strip the leather and iron for crafting. The talisman is a curious boon for low-level social encounters and may prove useful until a craftsman or magic user can appraise it further.
