Cavern of the Iron Banner

After a bruising fight in a low-ceilinged limestone hollow, the party picks through the fallen hobgoblin warband’s camp: a hobgoblin captain and his guard, two tactical experts, a warrior, and a pair of level-2 spellcasters (a practical mage and a field healer). The cave served as a forward post — crude bunks set into ledges, a small brazier ringed with bones, and a iron-tacked banner pinned to the far wall. The hobgoblins wore mixed leather and piecemeal metal, kept a handful of coin and trade goods on hand, and the spellcasters carried a few basic scrolls, reagents and potions they’d use in a skirmish. The haul is useful to a level 3 party: modest coin, practical gear and materials, a couple of useful consumables and low-level magical resources, plus a few small valuables the hobgoblins looted from caravans.
