Rats in the Golem Vault

After forcing entry into the collapsed vault under the ruined wing of the old watchtower, the party picked through a cramped warren of tunnels. Twenty scavenging rats had hoarded city refuse, a few coins, and trinkets pilfered from travelers. A single fey guardian lay twisted among toppled runes, its satchel half-open and its charm-stuffed pockets empty. Four battered golems, disabled and cracked, were clustered around a central niche where a pulsing core once sat. From the constructs' joints and niches the party pried a handful of gemstones, mechanical plates, and one intact heartstone. Among the detritus they also recovered a couple of healing potions and a spell scroll tucked into a golem's cavity. The haul is a mix of rat scavenging, fey oddments, and construct components useful to smiths and artificers, with a few wearable and tradeable magical items for the party to divvy up.
