Webbed Cellars: The Verminfall Hoard

Beneath the damp flagstones of an abandoned cellars complex the party cleared nest after nest: a swarm of giant rats, a clutch of centipedes hidden in the mortar, and a single, scorched inferno spider that had claimed the largest chamber as its domain. Between nests and crumbling crates the adventurers pried open four medium and four small chests. The finds are a messy mix of everyday coin and trade goods hauled in by scavengers, a few items likely pilfered from merchants, and a couple of curious materials—spider-silk fibred with ash and char, and glossy centipede carapace segments—that hint at potential use by a crafter familiar with working with strange biological materials. Among the chests were also some low-level practical treasures: common potions, a spell scroll likely scavenged from a travelling preacher, and a handful of gems and trinkets fit for selling at the next market.
