The Tale of This Treasure
The stench of smoke and blood still hangs in the low valley where the skirmish ended. Fallen banners and broken pikes litter the churned earth; scavengers and survivors have already taken the smallest trinkets. What remains are the heavier, more useful spoils: a masterfully forged longblade that still hums with a faint enchantment, a battered bag enchanted to hold far more than it appears, and a handful of potions and gems pried from the pouches of officers and sergeants. The party also harvests small keepsakes and identifiers: a signet ring for bargaining or identification, and a torn pennant that will fetch a trifle or become a grim trophy. These finds reflect the chaotic salvage of a mid-tier battlefield: one reliably useful magic weapon, practical magic gear, consumables to keep the party going, and tradeable valuables to fund repairs and future ventures.
