The Tale of This Treasure

Within the cavern where water drips through fractured clock faces and small tide-driven gears tic beneath the waves, you sifted through silted alcoves and broken bellows. There was no obvious hoard of a single guardian, but the cave's mechanisms had kept a number of useful and maritime items preserved: useful magic for dealing with water, practical salvage for a tinker, and a few small valuables that gleamed when the lanterns hit them. The Decanter and a pair of sea-oriented wondrous items will help the party navigate and control the cave's watery traps; the trident and pearls provide both roleplaying hooks among coastal folk and tangible value; the custom Clockwork Tide Key and the Tidebound Pocket-Clock tie into the cave's clockwork theme and can open or influence devices the party may still encounter. Overall this haul is appropriate for a fifth-level party exploring a themed water-cavern where time and tide have been fused into the environment.
