Ruins of the Sundered Forge — Ember-Hall Skirmish

The group cleared a scorched chamber deep in the ancient ruins — an old forge complex half-swallowed by the earth. Four troglodytes had taken up residence among the collapsed bellows and ash, using bone and broken bronze as decoration. Three failed forgespurned — warped constructs of slag and copper meant to guard the old smithy — staggered from spilled molten caches and fought with jagged metal limbs before collapsing into cooling heaps. Between the troglodytes' crude caches and the crippled forgespurned's remains you recover a mix of scavenged coin, primitive jewelry, mundane weapons and tools, and several salvageable forge-components and curios that would interest a smith or an antiquarian. The most interesting pieces smell faintly of hot metal and old ritual oil — evidence this was once a working forge with at least a touch of ritual metallurgy.
