The Tale of This Treasure

The party pried open a gap in the ancient stone slab and descended into a den where a small band of Thri-kreen had been hoarding scavenged weaponry and caravan stores. Broken banners and racks of ancient spears leaned against the walls, while alcoves held packets of dried rations and ritual trinkets. Between a collapsed altar and a pile of old armor you found practical supplies and a handful of true treasures: a chitin-lined Bag of Holding used to ferry stolen goods, a handful of gemstones and coin from raided caravans, a +1 spear crafted in a lost style, and several unusual magical trinkets the Thri-kreen prized for stealth and spellcraft. Most items are salvageable or saleable; a few require attunement or a spellcaster capable of deciphering scroll script. The haul reflects a den that served both as armory and staging ground for raids rather than a formal treasury, so expect many items to show field repairs and Thri-kreen modifications rather than ornate civilization polishing.
