The Tale of This Treasure

Beneath a collapsed approach to the old stone hall the party cleared a wedged chamber where cultists had been conducting crude rites to call the giant kin and bind dead flesh to their will. The remaining cult fanatic fell in the ritual circle, and the halls echoed with the clatter of skeletons and the dull thud of stone giants' clubs. After the dust settled the party finds practical spoils: a potion to tend wounds, a magically sharpened dagger taken from the fanatic's side, and a modest hoard of coin and gems scavenged from cultist pouches and the pockets of the undead. The stone giants had left behind a carved fragment useful to stonemasons or enchanters who work with giantstone, and the bone remains of the skeletons and zombies may prove valuable to spellcasters or craftsmen who trade in grisly components. The silver holy symbol promises leads to the cult's patron or to buyers who collect relics of fallen sects.
