Smoldering Turret Salvage

The party picks their way through the blackened remains of an exploded battle tank and a scorched radar dish. Sheets of twisted plate and clockwork guts stick from the churned earth where the munitions crate detonated. Amid the wreckage are practical salvage items: iron plates and gears that a village smith can turn into tools or armor patches, bolts and gunpowder useful to hunters or explosives-savvy rogues, and a few small gemstones spared from shattered settings. Two curious pieces stand out. One is a warped focusing crystal that an apprentice mage could recut, and the other is a peculiar half-dish that still hums with a faint signal, a small magical trinket with a single minor power. The party must choose whether to pocket useful materials for sale, keep consumables for immediate advantage, or invest time and coin into repairing the more valuable components.
