Embervault Spoils

The party has slipped into a forgotten drake lair deep beneath a basalt ridge and been lucky enough to find a neglected cache once tended by a mid-ranked dragon and its attendants. No active creatures were present when the party entered — scavengers and time have removed the largest pieces, but the hoard still reflects a drake's tastes: fire-polished items, heat-stained coinage, and carefully stored valuables that survived flame and flood. The trove contains a mix of mundane coin, tradeable gems, crafting materials favored by smiths who work with heat, and a few curios likely prized by a wyrm or its servants. These items are appropriate for a 4th-level D&D 5E party: valuable enough to matter, not so powerful as to unbalance play.
