The Tale of This Treasure
While exploring a tidal cove and an old ship's shallow grave left by last high tide, the party salvaged a mix of coastal goods and a few useful magical items. Broken crates yielded mundane tools and polished pearls. Hidden inside a waterlogged chest they found practical seaworthy gear and several minor magic items likely meant for mariners and coastal spellcasters. Two unique items of curious provenance were also recovered: a coral hourglass that seems to record short tides and a compass that favors fresh water over true north. The haul is well suited to a level four party heading into more sea travel or coastal investigations.
