Zook is a wiry, energetic gnome with skin the color of well-worn saddle leather and hair that resembles a bundle of frayed copper wires sparking with static. He wears a heavy leather welder's apron stained with oils of varying viscosity and colors. His most striking feature is a pair of oversized, multi-lensed goggles that never leave his forehead, one lens of which is a glowing sapphire that hums softly. He moves with a jittery, bird-like precision, his hands constantly twitching as if tightening invisible screws. Despite his mechanical expertise, he smells unexpectedly of crushed lavender and ozone.
