Level 3·Male·Medium

Species

Half-Orc

Appearance

Ghraan moves like a ship at anchor: heavy, deliberate, but capable of sudden, controlled momentum. His face is a map of old argument and older laughter — a crooked tusk on the left, a faint white scar running from cheekbone to jaw where a knife stopped short of his throat. He keeps his left forearm wrapped in oil-dark leather studded with brass rings, remnants of a river-merchant's harness; his right forearm bears a neat row of carved nickelsized notches like tally marks, filled with quicksilver. When he walks he favors a long, patched coat whose hem smells faintly of brine and ink; the coat has a sewn-in inner pocket lined with velvet, surprising for someone so rough. Contradiction: his hands are callused and scarred, yet his nails are always clean and filed smooth. He carries himself with the half-confident slump of someone who knows how to break bone and stitch flesh in the same breath.

Height6'4"
BuildBroad-shouldered and thick-muscled, but with an unusual grace in his hips and a dancer's lightness when he steps
EyesPale sea-glass green (left) and amber flecked with iron (right)
HairBlack with a single streak of iron-white at the temple
SkinOlive-gray with permanent salt-line paler streaks along collar and forearms

Gruff and clipped, words like stones; he uses nautical metaphors and has a soft, almost amused cadence when joking. He drops the last consonant of long words when comfortable and pronounces 'r' like a rope snap.”

Distinguishing Features

Left lower tusk broken and filed into a point

Row of quicksilver-filled tally notches on right forearm

Small anchor charm carved from whalebone hanging from belt

Scar from cheekbone to jaw (knife wound)

Mismatched eyes (sea-glass green and amber)

Voice

Low, rasping baritone with a slight salt-roughness; laughter is a short bark rather than a full guffaw.

Clothing

Heavy canvas coat patched with sailcloth, dark wool tunic, leather bracers, oilskin boots with extra heel plates, belt with hooks for small tools and a rusted anchor charm; under the coat a neat linen shirt tucked into trousers—he always wears a crimson handkerchief tied about his left bicep.

Body Language

Leans forward into conversation as if bracing against wind; often keeps one hand on his belt or bracer; when lying or ashamed he fiddles with the tally notches on his forearm.
